About Haunted Oswego Tours
Do you love ghost stories? Come hear the stories that have flourished by word of mouth - some for hundreds of years to the present day. They will enchant, entertain and perhaps even scare you. Give us 90-minutes to take you in search of the many ghosts rumored to haunt the Port City. Total walking distance is approx.1 mile, covered at a very leisurely pace so that you can enjoy Oswego’s haunted locations.
You will hear of the spectors that haunt the streets, tunnels, homes, & businesses of our fair city. Oswego’s rich history and proximity to water keep the spirits active and sometimes obvious! We have ghosts which dictate remodeling and and one that has made appearances in broad daylight! The identity of some of our ghosts are well known, while others remain a mystery....

- Who: Participants must be comfortable walking a mile in 90 minutes. Some sidewalks are uneven, there are curbs, a gradual hill, and we walk at night (there are some street lights along the way).
- Capacity: 25
- Wear: Comfortable clothing & shoes. If rain is forecasted bring rain gear.
- Weather: Tours take place rain or shine. If it storms heavily the tour can be cancelled by the guide. If the guide cancels due to extreme weather you will receive a full refund or given the opportunity to go another day.

What is a Ghost Tour?
Oswego was a bustling industrial port in the mid 1800’s. While other tours focus on the historical buildings and the people who lived there, this tour focuses on the places where spirits have made their presence known, some from hundreds of years ago - and some in the last 40 years. Even the Ghost Hunters have visited various Oswego sites to collect data on the spirits who persist.
When are tours held?
Haunted Oswego Tours are held every Tues., Fri., & Sat.( times are dependent upon sunset) from May - to early November. If you have a group of 5 or more and wish to book a different evening please call to set up a private tour.
Tours are held rain or shine—except on the stormiest nights. Please bring an umbrella or rainwear if appropriate. Some sidewalks are uneven, so if this concerns you please bring a flashlight.
How long is the tour?
The tour takes 1.5 hours and covers approximately a mile of easy paced walking.
Where does the tour start?
I will meet you in the parking lot on the corner of West 1st and Cayuga St.

How do I buy tickets?

Do tours sell out?
Yes, please buy tickets as early as possible. The number of spaces on a tour is limited.
Do you have private tours?
Yes. We conduct private tours, especially for school groups, at times other than the regularly held tours. Please inquire.
Is the tour handicapped accessible?
Reasonable accommodations for all of our disabled guests will be made. The route of the tour is mostly flat with no stairs to climb and paved.We move at a slow pace, but sidewalks can be uneven and some curbs are not handicap accessible. Please call us if you have certain concerns and your questions will be answered.
Do we need to bring a flashlight?
Most of the streets have lights but the sidewalks are uneven in many places so bringing a light to watch the sidewalk is advised.
Are tours appropriate for all ages?
Yes, this is a family friendly event.

Halloween has become a popular event and the emergent of Haunted Trails all over the area attest to the public’s appetite for a good scare. After enjoying a walking ghost tour in New Orleans, I got to thinking of the many ghost stories I could tell in our fair city!
